Project Schedule

Inventory | July 2020 to December 2020

The Inventory of Existing Conditions phase began in July 2020 and will continue through December 2020. During this phase the existing demographics, economics, current and future land use patterns, environmental features, and multimodal transportation infrastructure are compiled and assessed. Also included in this phase is a review of previous plans, policies, and regulations that are related to the future growth of Douglas County.

The list of tasks in this phase includes:

  1. Existing conditions data compilation, collection and analysis
  2. Public Outreach #1 — Public Kickoff Meeting
  3. Existing Conditions Summary Report

Assessment | December 2020 to May 2021

The Assessment of Current and Future Needs task will begin in December 2020 and continue through May 2021. This phase will build on the findings from the Inventory of Existing Conditions to identify existing and future gaps, and short- and long-rage transportation system needs for Douglas County. This needs assessment will provide the foundation for the identification of recommendations.

The list of tasks in this phase includes:

  1. Short- and long-range transportation needs assessment
  2. Public Outreach #2 — Public Meeting/Workshop
  3. Needs Assessment Report

Recommendations | May 2021 to September 2021

The Recommendations phase will begin in May 2021 and continue through September 2021. During this phase project, program, and policy recommendations will be developed that address the identified multimodal needs of Douglas County. These recommendations will be evaluated and prioritized against the plan’s goals and objectives.

The list of tasks in this phase includes:

  1. Recommendations development & prioritization
  2. Public Outreach #3 — Public Meeting
  3. Final CTP Report
